How to Add Glass to Cabinet Doors
I am thinking maybe you would need to add a piece of wood to the part where the window would site? Just to add some weight for the glass to sit on?
Since doors are required to have tempered glass in them, and cutting out the raised panels on this door and then provide a glazing channel, I’ll cover 2 options.
1.) is if you have lots of time and access to a plunge router. Buy a piece of tempered glass Or a window “replacement sash” will probably be cheapest at a DIY Big Box Store.
Cut the door with the plunge router to hold the glass (it has to be into the style & rails). Apply frosted film on the clean window for your “Laundry” design and set the glass with glazing pins.
2.) Buy a replacement door (not the jambs) with the frosted and tempered glass already in it. Move the hardware from the old door to the new one. I’ll post a picture and price after I source one.
2.) Here is an obscure glass tempered door, 32” wide.
Office supply stores have peel and stick “sticky back” frosted plastic printer sheets, which I would run a sheet through my printer with the word “Laundry” on it, landscape format.
The ones that say Laundry on them already are $40 more. A box of sticky back is about $7.
You've gotten some good advice already. If you go with option 2 from Lifestyles Home, you might want to check out local construction salvage stores. This will help you get a new door at a cheaper price.
Carol: the absolute cheapest thing you can do is stencil the door! There are lots available on amazon.

I like bleach mixed with hydrogen peroxide for toilet stains. Only once did I clean a toilet that had sat filthy with no water for ten years that had to have stuff scraped off the bottom with an old spoon I threw away the spoon, of course but the toilet is much better now

HOW to Add a Window Into a Door and WHY You Should Do It!
As Lifestyle Homes noted, you will need specific tools and a solid wood door (not hollow) to complete this project correctly. It may be more cost effective to simply purchase an opaque privacy glass door (example below).
You could also try your local Habitat for Humanity ReStore or architectural salvage shops, see if there’s a door with glass already that will fit.
