How do I maximize space under the stairs?

Have you considered putting shelves under the stairs? Love that idea.

Some people leave the area open and make a nice "den" look for their dog or cat bed, some close it up for extra storage, some use it to put in a locking firebox with valuable papers etc, but I love the "desk" area for taking care of bills etc if there is room enough to have a low desk and chair that will push in when done. It depends on what your family needs and prefers.

Under stairs is a great place to add additional storage! It can be open shelving or shelving with doors added, or even a bench! Here is a link to a few ideas... I hope this helps!

Use Boxes on casters and stack them? Fit out as a Small Clockroomlittle library? Coat and boot storage? Small cloakroom? RATHER DEPENDS ON WHAT SPACE YOU HAVE.........
