How do I make cheap picture frames for non-standard sized pictures?
I have all these pics I made with gem embroider. PIcs where you just put the gems on the numbered dots. But I don't know how to frame them. They are all odd sized. Anyone out there know how to make cheap frames.

Patti....Dollar Tree has many frames
You can buy little brackets that attach to the back side of a piece of wood or metal that makes a frame. They are little L-shaped metal pieces. One option that looks nice is to cut a piece of window trim at 45 degree angles, then put a bracket at each corner. Voila'! A frame!
Just adjust the sizes for the pics. You can even make them out of cardboard, foam board, etc. Paint or embellish them.

Diy matting so that you can put in standard frames. You can use construction paper or scrapbook paper.
Could you try collaging them together so that they fit in a more standard-sized frame?
You could use pieces of wood that are the size of the edges and nail them all together
You can buy various wood mouldings at the lumber store, and will need a mitre box and saw for the 45 degree corner cuts. Then use brads to join them together, or use thin pieces of wood glued over the corners to hold the 2 pieces.
Also check out the Dollar Tree for various frames, or thrift stores, and paint the frames for a cohesive look or use all the same color picture mats.
You could purchase trim moulding and cut pieces to size using a miter box, or just regular 1x3 or 1x4. Those you can get in many varieties of wood.
