Have encountered this topic once or twice(+) when I was younger. Hating chemicals for house hold use, I found several tips given me over the years helped if not got rid of them altogether. One use for warm weather is apply a can or two of .99 cent table salt and sprinkle all over areas of concern night before let sit over night vacuum well empty bag asap. Next that also worked was use of Lavender smelled great and with this method I was told to put it in vacuum cleaner thoroughly doush floor area vacuum entire area. If the temps dropped below freezing I used to turn heat way down and open all my door and windows to freeze them to death. Worked Great as long as you clean and wash everything afterwards. Good luck it's a nasty problem but one that is curable.

Hi ! Try using diatomaceous earth ! It is an all natural substance that is safe to use around kids and pets! I bought the organic food grade type off Amazon for about $10 . This is a very fine talc like powder . Read about all its uses for around the home , both inside and outside , as well , as it's health benefits for people and pets !

  • I tried just about every home remedy and finally hired my local pest company to come spray twice and that did the trick.

First, make sure you treat your pet(s). I like using Advantix for this, but ask your vet for recommendations. You need to cut off fleas at the source and keep treating your pet for a while afterward to make sure the population does not recover. I treat my dog every month to prevent fleas because it's so awful to try to get rid of them after the fact! And pets can pick up fleas anywhere. Mine got them at the vet one time. After that, deep clean everything, and keep doing it for a few weeks. Bedding, carpets, toys, anything fabric that can go in the washing machine. It takes a while to get rid of fleas completely, and a few eggs can restart the whole process. Good luck!
