A utility razor scraper will remove buildup. I now have my second glass top stove and my best advice is to soak the top with wrung out cloths using hot water. Clean off what you can with a magic eraser, then sprinkle baking soda on the damp surface, let dry. Using a damp microfiber cloth and/or magic eraser to use the baking soda like a scrubbing powder. Bon Ami, Bartender's Friend and Mrs. Meyers scrub also work well. Once you get it cleaned up, remove anything that gets on it as soon as the top cools. I spray mine with Mrs. Meyers all purpose cleaner as soon as it cools, let it sit a few minutes and then wipe with a microfiber cloth. I rarely have to scrub it that much if I clean it right away.
