How can I replace glass on a two door hutch?

I am putting the piece in my bathroom, to put towels in and extra stuff. My bathroom is by the lake style. The door opens into it and knob will hit it, so I need to replace the glass and I rather not use chicken wire. I thought maybe some kind of thinner boards going across lengthwise with paint. Also the bottom doors also need something. It's in bad shape needs a lot of attention, any idea at all on the piece are greatly appreciated Thank you in advance. Please disregard the mess, remodeling.
Rather than change the cabinet, why not put in a hinge door stop on the bathroom door so that it can't hit it?
Pegboard panels would allow it to vent a bit. They can be purchased in “Masonite” material or plastic.
Masonite can be painted to match and plastic version will be completely maintenance free.
Use glazing points to “stop it in”.

Would plexiglass be an option?
Custom cut piece of plexiglass can be expensive.
If the cabinet were to tip over it may be safer to have plexiglass rather than real glass, however, it may not be cost effective for this project.
The front panels on the drawers look like they might already be warped. How easily do they open and close?
If you were to put this cabinet in a bathroom, it might incur more damage due to the high humidity in the room.
I am also wondering how level the legs are. Be sure to securely anchor the unit on to the wall to prevent it from falling forward.
Have you thought about completely removing the doors? You can paint the inside for a fun pop of color and use the doors somewhere else in your house? Then you can fold and display your towels on the shelves and use cute baskets to decorate.

Add a "stop" on the hinge of the door.
remove the doors and leave it open - my niece did that with an antique cabinet and it looks great she has blankets and quilts in hers
You might consider getting a fabric that coordinates with your bathroom's colors and use thumbtacks to adhere the fabric to where the glass inserts would be. Also, painting the piece in a solid color that works well in your home would look lovely....perhaps the same color as your bathroom walls. The idea of a door stopper on the baseboard of the bathroom will help keep the door from bumping into any portion of the furniture piece. Another thought is to remove the top doors completely and paint the entire piece and simply roll your towels in "spa" style to make them readily available for use or place baskets in the open area to house all bathroom essentials.
