Hi Debbie, I am not sure which project you are looking at but hot glue works well to hold rope to other objects or to other pieces of rope. If you have the project saved, you can always ask the question on the specific project and the maker can let you know what type of glue they used. Have fun!

Hi Debbie. Hot glue will work but if you want a stronger glue, use E6000 or Gorilla Glue. They even make Gorilla Glue sticks to use in your hot glue gun. Good luck Debbie and Happy New Year.

There are several types of glue that can be used to attach rope, but the best one will depend on the specific needs of your project. Here are a few options to consider:

    1. Super glue (cyanoacrylate): This is a strong, fast-drying glue that is great for bonding rope. It works well on a variety of materials, including rubber, plastic, and fabric, and is water resistant.
    2. Fabric glue: If you are working with a fabric rope, fabric glue may be the best option. These glues are specifically designed to bond fabric to fabric and are often flexible and washable.
    3. Hot glue: A hot glue gun can be used to attach rope, especially if you need a temporary bond. The glue dries quickly and is strong, but it can be difficult to remove if you need to make any adjustments.
    4. Epoxy: Epoxy is a very strong glue that is great for bonding rope. It takes longer to dry than other types of glue, but it is water-resistant and very durable.

    I hope this helps!
