DIY Geometric Accent Wall Using Removable Vinyl

My craft "room" is in a corner in our basement and I wanted to give the space a unique look to distinguish it from the rest of the living area, so I decided to create an accent wall behind my desk. It was so easy that I completed it in probably an hour or less and you can customize it with any color or shape you want. See how I got the look of wallpaper without the expense or headache of hanging it!
Here is the space before I started with my craft room makeover. It was plain and not inspiring creativity.
I decided to go with three colors that corresponded with my craft corner vibe, as well as the rest of the basement area (navy, teal, and metallic silver) These are 12"x12" sheets of removable vinyl.
I went with a triangle shape in a few different sizes to add interest. I designed the pattern in Cricut Design Space, but you could cut this by hand if you had a simple pattern. I filled all three sheets with the triangles and cut them on my Cricut Maker Machine.
I started placing them organically on the wall behind the desk, allowing some to overlap. If I did not like the feel, I simply re-positioned it.
Once I had all of the decals placed on the wall, I placed my supplies back on the shelves and hung the mats on the wall. I then re-positioned a few of the triangles that I could not see well.
I ended up with a pop of color in my craft area that makes me happy when I look at it! When I get tired of it, I can simple remove them and start over, with no mess or damage to the drywall.

I made a few other updates to my craft space, so make sure you hop over to my blog and check out the full makeover!
