You didn't say if they were wood, upholstered or what so here is an idea
Hi Elaine, here is one of my favorite ideas here on Hometalk! https://www.hometalk.com/19273335/tree-bench-made-from-kitchen-chairs?expand_all_questions=1
You can Rub down and paint or restain and reupholster or place two chairs facing each other and either make an end of bed seat or or add a back and make a 2 seater bench seat. Add 3 together to make a larger bench or couch. Backs could be cut off and legs boxed in to form Planters once seat is removed. Backs could become a headboard..............etc
There are lots of ideas on Pinterest for redoing old chairs! You don't mention what kind of chairs you have but there are lots of options if you do a bit of research! Different colors, adding cushions, adding artwork or stenciling, staining or painting. I like to use chalk paint on old chairs because you don't have to do much prep work.
Hi Elaine! One of my favorite way to repurpose old chairs is as flower pots!
It will depend on the shape they are in but you could cut out the seat and make planters. Hang on the wall for shelves.
