also you could make a hidden tv cover like we did: https://www.frugalfamilytimes.com/2019/01/how-to-make-hidden-tv-cabinet-with-mirrors.html
Hardware changes, shiplap and different pictures on the wall. Maybe a set of industrial lights with Edison bulbs.
I would take the two pieces of art work down and add large glass candle holders on the mantel top

Painted Brick Fireplace-Farmhouse Inspiration
Mid Century Modern Wall
Hi Brittany, I am attaching more than one idea to this, I don't think you need to remove the pictures, I think you will need some paint and maybe some faux rock work to give this a country style. You may want to paint the bricks a lighter gray color, this will make the wood stove pop more. Please check out all these options

Try some chalk paint on the cabinet around the stove

The books are a great touch already, so if you add some florals in on the top to each side of the tv, and acouple of vases it should look great!
Hi ! You could put up beadboard panels on the area above the fireplace and cabinets .
For a real farm look you could cover the wall with barn board in grayish tones, and then use some rusted farm tools, gears, etc for that industrial feel. If you can't get barn wood you can get that color by putting steel wool in vinegar.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSd69UneZ8c You could use free pallet wood. Even make some frames for your little pictures.

Here would be my vote for best farmhouse design with tools, very Shaker, https://www.houzz.com/photos/vermont-farmhouse-farmhouse-entry-burlington-phvw-vp~434302 love that green and that pitchfork is to die for
It really needs a bookcase on each side of the TV.
Add "chippy" large candle holders, wire baskets, some cotton, items that are enamel. Change the door handles. Distress slightly. Buffalo check is another item that is farmhouse. Check out "decorsteals.com" for some great buys and inspiration.
thanks For all your comments and suggestions!!! I appreciate it! I’m gonna look over all these options with my fiancé. I’m sure we will find something we love in your suggestions! ❤️
I would put beadboard or use board and batten above the fireplace. I would take down those pictures and go to Kirkland's and check out their accessories. They have tons of Farm House accessories.
Agree with Cheryl to take the two pictures down. IMO they do not add anything positive to the wall, as they are too small, too pale, and compete with the TV.
Before putting any money into redecorating the wall, I would also recommend to take the books out of the shelves. They do not add any attractiveness to the wall, as they look cluttered and shabby. Unless you are 100% certain that you are going to re-read any of them, donate to a local public library, which will release this 'prime real estate shelf space' for more featured items.
Here is my mantel that looks similar https://www.homeroad.net/2018/01/creating-easy-winter-mantel-with-mason.html
