If you are working inside your house Citristrip doesn't have much of an odor compared to the more traditional strippers. It does work a bit differently than the traditional strippers as it needs to be applied and then you wait a period of time for it to work. You do have to be patient with this stripper. If you can work outside, I like to use KleanStrip , a metal spatula. and steel wool to get down to the wood much faster than using Citristrip. Regardless of what stripper you use, removing all the paint from kitchen cabinets is a HUGE job so be prepared for A LOT of work to get all your cabinets down to the wood. You can start with one door to see what you have underneath all the paint.

Hi Shannon, I love Circa 1850 paint stripper. It does wonders. I am in Canada though and not sure if it is available where you are.

I use Kleen Strip. But it's strong and smelly but works great. The best is to remove doors and do them laying down. Work in a garage or outside if can. Be patient is the best advise.

Hi Shannon,, Citri-strip! Works well especially if you put clingwrap or a plastic bag onto the piece after applying the stripper so it can work longer. The Citri-Strip doesn't have a strong offensive odor like many other strippers.

I also am a fan of Citristrip. If you can find old inventory, the old formula is a bit better.
