How can I remove a stuck bracket from a floating wood shelf?
I have a 10 lb oak wood floating shelf that i want to mount, but the metal bracket was preinserted and is completely stuck. No screws holding in place. Tried using a hammer and a crow bar to pry it out but it wont budge. Am i doing something wrong? Is this a weird type of bracket that doesnt work the same as others? Im out of ideas

Hi, Brian!
Could you possibly post a photo of it? We're here to help!
Could you buy some new metal brackets for it? Might be easier! It sounds like it is in there pretty good.
It might have been glued. A heat gun could melt the glue.
Return it, must be defective.
Is it possible to return or exchange it?

Hi Brian if a heat gun doesn't do the trick completely, If you can get it to budge a little with that try tapping the bracket with a mallet. Tap do not hammer
