Looking to install a wardrobe in my bedroom. Please suggest which one is better.
Could you please post a picture of your bedroom so we can see what you see and offer the best advice?
Here is the kind I put in my closet and it is very customizable. It may be just what you are looking for or at least give you some ideas of possibilities https://familyfocusblog.com/bedroom-closet-organizers-modular-closets/
It depends on your clothes. Think about if you have a lot of clothes that fold vs. hang. Do you need any single rods or can you do double rods for the entire space. We have one that is drawers in the bottom with one rod above and it's great for our guest bedroom that our granddaughters stay in quite often.
It all depends on your space available. Our walk-in has mostly double rows of rods and one section of single rod for long clothes. We also have shelves for folded clothes and a shelf above all sections. I just added a second shelf half way between the 10 foot ceiling and the existing shelf. Suitcases and other seldom used items go up top.
I believe this is a very personal decision. I have an old, small house, so the closets are small as well, but we make them work, since we'd rather use the square footage in the room for living space, to put an extra chair in it etc. We have been able to use a closet organizer and shelves, very effectively to make the most out of the built in double door closet we do have. However, if you dream of a large closet and dressing area and have the room for it, it's a worthwhile amenity and will only add to the resale value of your home. Good luck!!
We have a built in closet in our master and walk in closets in both the kids rooms. I prefer their walk in closets, because I can physically walk in and there is plenty of room. I feel the built in one doesn't use space as well and it is harder to get items out of it. The built in one runs the length of one of our rooms in the master bedroom.
Depends on how much space you need, and how much space you have to give up in the adjoining room.
Here's a post that might help - https://www.allaboutclosetsnj.com/blog/walk-in-closets-vs-reach-in-closets-the-pros-and-cons-of-both
Is this for a master bedroom? If you have the space, a walk-in is very nice, especially if it's for two people to share. But only do it if it's not going to sacrifice too much space or ruin another room in your house.
