This gorgeous buffet got a fresh new look! From dark and boring, to fresh and fun! Gorgeous new hardware was added for more detail and function.
Below are some of the before pictures.
I used Krud kutter to clean inside and out.
After cleaning, I lightly sanded with a 150 sand block., then gave it a good wipe down ready for the first coat of paint.
Sometimes we come across stickers, tape ect , but I just sand them off with my palm sander.
I used homeshades paint by Glidden called water lily pond.
After a few coats it was ready to be lightly sanded, then distressed in some areas to give more detail. I used hemp oil to seal.
After everything was sealed and dry, I played around with hardware and found the perfect ones. The top ones have beautiful detail, metal fretwork over ceramic and for the bottom I chose little ceramic birds!
I sanded on the edges of the piece to give more detail.
This is always the best part for me, staging and taking pictures.
Use texture, color and patterns, group things together, just play around until you’re happy with how it looks!
I love adding texture with baskets, they can be coastal, country, any style really. Use books and lamps or tall vases for height. I love this piece, it has so much storage and can be used anywhere in your home!
Nice deep drawers for your silverware.
I’m really pleased with how it turned out, don’t hesitate to paint an old piece, once you do, you’ll be so happy you did! Follow us on Facebook and Instagram to see more info on where to find this beauty! Have a great week!
