Here's one made of cardboard, looks pretty neat!
and here's another interesting one:
Thank you, Redcatcec! This is helpful!
HomyHolds....I would do a similar one but you can leave the legs off and staple stuffed fabric so it will stay in place laying on legs. I would use the ledge at bottom to hold the laptop but you can stuff with cotton or foam pellets as bean bag chairs
Thank you for your comment, Tinyshoes!
Here's one made from old cabinet doors!
Thank you, GK!
Hi Homyholds: Whatever you do, make sure that the bottom of the laptop has an area that has air movement. You don't want it to overheat. Feel underneath your laptop and you will feel the heat, so for long term use, an hour or so, you will want air movement. I glued little legs on mine, and it sits on a wooden table. Good luck
Thanks for your valuable comments Betsy! I will look into this.

You are most welcome:)
The also make trays with the lap surface filled with memory foam or beads/beans to using your laptop in bed.... https://www.amazon.com/slp/lap-pillow-desk/8njub6oqus6j62x I frequently see these at thrift stores too.
Thank you, Sharon!
Where is a very simple design.
You are very welcome.
