Hello I have never personally created a brand new lampshade from scratch, I have only rehabed thrift store finds.

You can definitely recover a lampshade but to make one from scratch would be impractical. My current project is recovering one. So much fun to think about these projects!
I have used fabric and hot glue to cover a thrifted lampshade.
