  • What ever they sell at the Dollar Stores. Typically I get helium filled balloons for parties. Mylar balloons hold the helium longer if that makes a difference to you.

I love just going to dollar Tree for my helium balloons. I usually get a bunch of metallic helium balloons. Each balloon is only a dollar. Don't know where you live but if you have dollar tree you can get a lot of party supplies cheaper. The only thing is that if you want a bunch of helium regular latex balloons in an assortment of colors, you will have to go to a party store. However they do have packages of regular balloons but you can't get them helium filled. You could always buy yourself a helium tank and fill the regular latex balloons by yourself. Have fun party planning:)

I was at a child's birthday party and found out that some folks were allergic to latex balloons. So the person giving the party had to remove the balloons to another room. So that is one thing to keep in mind, if you know of anyone who has latex allergies that will be at the party! I go to Dollar Tree for mylar balloons they have a wonderful selection.

It would depend on the purpose of the party, whether plain or fancy and of course your budget:

If real plain and simple-the homespun- go for the dollar store helium balloons, you cant go wrong at $1 each

if you want to fancy it up, here's some ideas from Pinterest:

Mylar balloons typically hold helium longer. For some reason there are local shortages of helium where I am and planning ahead is required.

I get party balloons at the local party supply store. Just don't let the balloons go, it is bad for the environment to let them fly away.
