How can I repurpose a lampshade which does not have a base and fits no other base?
Siegrid: maybe this will help
Here's a link with some more ideas:
Remove the cloth panels and replace them with any mesh, then use them in the summer at picnics to keep the flies off food.
Some people use them as vegetable cages in their gardens. Do you grow tomatoes or anything that could use a cage?

Hi Siegrid. Begin by removing the fabric of the lamp shade. Replace it with chicken wire. Add a piece of chicken wire to cover the top of the shade. Be sure to wear gloves and use needle nose pliers to work the chicken wire. Turn it over and use it as a fruit / vegetable basket.
They make a Fine Hat...
Just kidding. You use the Frame to make String Art.
It is rather depending on the shape of the lampshade as to what can be done with it. If you could upload pictures it would help. Planter, Waste bin, Bowl, Hanging Basket etc................Best wishes.
I had a light in my closet where I didn't like the glass globe so I took the globe off and put the lamp shade on it and screwed in the light bulb.
