It will clean and disinfect. The best thing is to lower the water level as much as possible. Start at the jets and apply with a swab type cleaner. Work your way down to the water level then let sit for 5 minutes. Repeat then flush.
Pour a half cup of hydrogen peroxide in the toilet and let it sit 20-30 minutes. Use your toilet brush as you normally would.
