How can I “restuff” a recliner that is otherwise in perfect condit

Hi Juda. Unzip the covers and remove them. Replace foam and wrap new batting around it. If you need to adjust the size of the foam, an electric bread knife works great to "carve" it. You can use spray adhesive to hold batting in place. Then replace the covers.

Hello. We had the same sad situation.

It was sucessfully resolved on my non recliner sofa.

We’ve rehabilitated our Natuzzi by flipping the couch over on its side removing the bottom thin black fabric (the dust cover) and addressing the interior structure. We ended up putting a piece of wood ( screwed in ) to support the inside the frame to help correct the seat from sagging, or if needed extra foam filling could be applied if needed. Reattach ( staple gun) black dust cover and we were able enjoy the revitalized cushion with proper support.

Not sure if this is a viable solution for you, Im sorry not sure how the insides of recliners look hope it helps. Best wishes for finding the perfect remedy!

It sounds like the foam pieces in the seat are neither firm enough or dense enough to support weight without tilting.

If you have loose cushions, either replace the foam with fire retardant new foam or add a seat firmer (slates of timber inside a plastic cover that is available in UK or make something yourself (cut a piece of plywood or mdf and place it inside or under the cushion seat) I've done this with chairs in the past) or Buy/Make cushions to fit on top of your furniture that complement and sit on those............Hope that helps!

Hi Juda, we have had this happen as well. Try to find a very inconspicuous seam (in the back or under the cushion and carefully take part of it out. You can then push your hand (or arm) in and rearrange the batting. You can also add extra if needed. I usually leave the seam open then for awhile until you make sure it is how you want it. Good luck.

If you can pull the fabric up in on small area you can add stuffing inside and then close it back the way you took it apart. Hope this helps.

If you flip the chair over could you see the bottom cushion because you could cut a small slit and add stuffing we’re needed that is the only way I could think of with out damaging the chair
