Trash to Treasure Upcycling a Popcorn Tin at Christmas Farmhouse Style

We have a few popcorn tins that we always purchase around Christmas so I wanted to see what I could do to reuse them.
I knew I wanted to go with a farmhouse style and chose to paint it white. I attempted to use spray paint which would have been my method of choice for this project, but the weather didn't cooperate so I ended up using a paint brush inside to finish it.
I had a couple of different idea's in mind and chose to cut out a whimsical tree shape using some buffalo check paper and I used mod podge to place that onto the tin.
Then I chose to add a simple red bow to dress it up a bit more.
I wanted to use the tin for a base for a tree that I had and I love how it turned out.I simply used some empty large sized ribbon rolls to give the tree some height and then used a scarf as a tree skirt.
I also decorated the back with some vinyl letters to have another look.
I kept several of these tins as I have other idea's for them as well. I think it turned out really cute and I even used the lid and decorated it as well.
I added some more tree cutouts, a miniature truck ornament, and a pretty check bow and I think it turned out pretty cute for being something that would otherwise end up in the garbage.
I have also made another one with a rustic Farmers Market sign on it for spring and filled it with faux flowers. So fun!
