  • I'm not sure what the countertop is made of, but for laminate, have you tried making a paste with baking soda and water? Or, sometimes a little hydrogen peroxide on a rag will work.

Plastic laminate eventually has the top layer wear thin. If the above comments don’t work, order on line 15% Food Grade hydrogen peroxide.

Be very careful with it, as it it caustic at 15% strength, but unlike bleach, it is safe to use on food prep surfaces.

As in wear gloves and then mop up with paper towels after the treatment and throw them away.

It will bleach any food stain.

    Just wear your PPE.

Try a paste of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide for a scrub and then rinse with straight 12% peroxide. It has a bleaching agent. You can also try scrubbing with a lemon cut in half and course sea salt or kosher salt. Lemons also have a bleaching agent. Neither of these methods should yellow where many chlorine bleaches do.

Hi Rebecca. I think Mr Clean's Magic Eraser would remove those stains. Other than that, it may be difficult to recommend a cleaner depending on what your counter tops are made of. There are kits sold that remove stains from certain kinds of stone.

Try a Magic Eraser. You can even wet the eraser and let it sit on the stain for a while before cleaning. You can also try making a paste of baking soda, blue dish soap and a drop of warm water. Make a paste and spread on counter. This will bleach the area!

Do not use magic eraser on your countertops as it has a sandpaper like substance and will scratch your countertops. But a good cleaner degreaser like KrudKutter, or Purple power to clean and remove the stains.

Hi! Have you tried Bartender's Friend or Bon Ami? They can be used safely on most surfaces. Good luck!
