Terro Ant Bait works the best. I’ve bought Grants and they don’t work.

You can try powdered boric acid, they must walk through it.

You can try food grade diatomaceous earth, they must walk through it.

I would bug bomb the camper with Raid Fumigator Cartridges, every week, for a month.

I would go with Diatomaceous Earth. If you get food grade, you can even eat it. It will get rid of all pests with an exoskeleton like ants, spiders, and roaches.

I use 2 non-toxic ant deterrents, EcoSmart and EcoLogic sprays that have lemongrass oil, citronella, cedar oils in them. I have also used Victor's which is mint-based. I spray them on the doorway threshold, and wipe the edges of counters or cupboards with the spray. Smells good to me, and doesn't bother my cats.

Try mixing sugar with baking soda equal parts and mix together.put around corners and doorways the ants eat the sugar and can’t digest the baking soda.

  • Hi Joanne - Those little buggers are relentless, aren't they?!? This is the most effective method and all-natural spray DIY that we use with ants. It's best indoors, but will also work outside with more frequent applications. It's even been featured on Hometalk! Hope this helps! Hugs, Holly

  • I use packaged cornbread mix that says it is sweetened and put it where they are. They will take it to the mound, everyone will eat it and die, they can't digest the cornmeal, but will take it because it is sweetened. Little goes a long way.

I read this from : Itsmemic

Medicated powder from the Dollar Tree. It has eucalyptus in it...menthol...I puff it around my homes foundation..and inside under my birdcages in the cracks under moldings. Work immediately and they never come back. I do this at the first sign of ants..in one day..GONE. The powder is in a very large container and lasts quite awhile too !! And smells great !

Not toxic to my birds OR dog

What if you make a barrier around the house.

I did some research, since we know what works for one person doesn't always work for another. I found this site and it's pretty informative. I know some tips you may not be able to use but there are some good ones also that will hopefully help.

  • There are many remedies out there, you just need to find the one that works best for you. Here are some sites that may be helpful.

We never park the RV under a tree. Whether parked at home or on a trip, we dribble peppermint extract around all the tires and jacks. In a pinch dollar store baby powder will work, but you must lay it on thick, not foolproof, but it helps.
