When you want a delicious smell floating through your home or office, but don't want to use chemical sprays, try this Coffee Cake Air Freshener. It's energizing and comforting aroma is perfect to put you in a good mood. Plus, it only uses all natural ingredients!
This delicious-smelling air freshener will wake you up! Here's the easy ingredients to make it right now.
You probably already have the items in your pantry! Here's what you'll need:
  • ⅔ cup of whole coffee beans, leftover coffee grinds or fresh ground coffee
  • 2 tablespoons of molasses
  • 2-3 cinnamon sticks
  • 6 cups of filtered water
  • Fill the pot with the water.
  • Add all of the other ingredients and stir for a moment to help the molasses dissolve.
  • Bring the pot to a simmer (not boiling, but just lightly bubbling).
Let the pot simmer for one to two hours, checking occasionally to ensure there is enough water in the pot. If the water is getting low, you can add more. Make sure all ingredients are always covered with water.
I love the smell of coffee, but I can't drink it. So this air freshener is great! For another warm and cozy air freshener, this Crockpot apple cinnamon stovetop potpourri is amazing.
When done simmering the pot, let the pot cool completely. Instead of throwing the water down the drain or the contents into the trash, considering adding them to your compost pile.P.S. Did you know that you can also use coffee grounds to get rid of cellulite? Crazy, but true! Another great use for used coffee grinds.

Theresa wrote about the dollar store containers from air fresheners, I fill them with coffee beans cinnamon some salt and baking soda and give them a shake once a week , one I put in the central AC heater door on the edge of where the filter goes, I have a 3 bdrm trailer. I also put a couple by the bottom of the front n back doors with extra ground ginger pepper salt baking soda and it prevents creeper crawlers from coming to visit. Sure Dave's on terminex and bug control.
