How can I thoroughly clean wooden kitchen cabinets?

Question

I don't want to have to re-finish or replace the cabinets in our new house. They're made out of a good solid wood. But the doors and drawer faces really need a good cleaning. Many areas are greasy and have been touched by lots of dirty hands. And overall they're just old and need a good cleaning. What's the best thing to use?

I've always used Murphy oil in warm water and then rinse. I have a dark cherry stain and it shows everything.

Hi ! When I was prepping my wood cabinets to be painted someone recommended that I get a cleaner by Krud Kutter , called a de greaser . It worked GREAT !!!! I bought it at home depot for around $6 . I thought my cabinets were pretty clean , I couldn't believe how much stuff this cleaner got off them !
