  • Look for the model number. Then contact the manufacturer and order replacement blades.

Home Depot, Lowes, Menard's. You would need to know the length of the blades. Model number Google search would show it or if you have the owners manual. Too short fan speed will run wild. Too long and motor can burn out.

  • Buy a used fan off craigslist of FB marketplace and just take the blades and throw the rest of it out.

Go to amazon.com and look for that specific manufacturer for fan. They carry LOTS of replacement parts. Good luck!

I constantly see them at the roadside by people changing the lighting in their homes. Check out your neighborhood just prior to trash day. You may find one in good condition. ALSO check with your Restore store near you. They are very cheap there. Good luck.

  • I make crafts from old ceiling fan blades and get them either from the side of the road or thrift store. I see them every single week for next to nothing. If you can't locate them online, you might try a second hand shop.

I would caution you against spending any money on used fan blades, especially to install on a new fan, as you don't know where they have been stored, or how they have been/or not been maintained. Warped fan blades can cause wobbling, which is a potentially dangerous situation.

While i do agree with flipturn that you must be sure replacement blades are not warped, i was just at the Habitat for Humanity Restore yesterday and they had stacks and stacks of fan blades for a few dollars each. Try your local Restore. Then be sure they actually fit your fan and are not warped. We just spray painted our fan and blades matte black to go with the new fireplace mantel. Totally changed it from a fan i hated to one i really like now and it complements the room well. Big bugger also fits the large room with high ceiling too. It would have cost us $400.00 -$600.00 to replace it. Happy blade hunting!

I would search for company name and call them

  • Home Depot or your local home improvement store will have blades, so will a Habitat ReStore. You could try Craigslist as well.
