I love to use tobacco baskets to make wreaths. While I made this one for Christmas, I decorated it to stay up all winter long. It uses winter stems with a frosted snow look, pinecones and winter berries. You can add a ribbon if you want, but I liked it with just the stems.
If you follow my blog https://ourcraftymom.com/, you know how much I LOVE wreath making. It's probably my favorite craft to make. Here is what you need to make your own tobacco basket wreath.
SUPPLIESSTEP 1.Place the Christmas stems in the lower left corner of the tobacco basket and use the floral wire to adhere it to the basket. It’s helpful to use floral wire instead of hot glue, as you can remove it easily to use the basket after the holidays.

STEP 2.Continue to add floral stems to the basket until you are happy with the placement.
STEP 3.Add the stems only to the left side and bottom, so you can still see quite a bit of the tobacco basket.
STEP 4.Add white berry stems to the top of the arrangement to give it height and texture. I didn’t even use floral wire for this. You can just push it into the arrangement.
STEP 5.At this point I usually hang the wreath up and continue to add and arrange the floral stems to ensure everything is even. I also added a few frosted pine cones.
See how easy that was? This is my first tobacco basket wreath and I definitely see more in my future. I can totally see a Spring one with bright blooms.
