I am a little obsessed with accent walls, I basically have one in every room! Although I love peel and stick wallpaper and all the different patterns they offer, I wanted something different for our spare bedroom. Especially because it was a smaller space.

Not only did I create a unique feature wall but I did it with materials I already had! I used 9ft string lights from the holiday season that we used for our living room window. Instead of sticking them in a box until next year rolls around I figured they would serve a better purpose in the guest room.

Oh and the tapestry? I had that too! I originally used it as a sheet over the bed but got tired of it eventually. Good think I never throw anything away 😁Amazon sells many beautiful tapestries for $10-$20 dollars but a decorative bed sheet would work just as well.

I nailed 10 nails into the top of the tapestry and the wrapped the string lights on each nail. As long as you know how to use a hammer this project can be done! As far as feature walls goes this is probably the easiest, and I have done EVERY one. Painting is the original accent wall and although painting isn't a hard skill it does take time patience and a steady hand. Like I said wallpaper is one of my favorites and thankfully they now offer peel and stick vs. what was available back in the day when wallpaper first hit the main steam. But even peel and stick takes skills to cut and adhere without getting all your hair in it.

I really couldnt be happier with how it all came out! I think any guest that stays the night will drift to sleep under my twinkling lights❤
