Hi Bunny, you can purchase masonry anchors, you will have to drill into the brick/stone and hammer them in and then you insert screws or hooks etc to hang the lights from. if that's not an option you could consider trying command hooks.
Try Power Grab from Titebond. Glue up supports and let it cure, then add the lights.
I have a couple of ideas. First you need scrub the bricks with a stiff bristle brush using a vinegar/baking soda mix. Use 1 cup vinegar to 1/2 cup baking soda. If you want your lights to be removable adhere them with Gorilla brand duct tape. If you want them to be semi-permanent you can adhere them with a good quality construction adhesive such as Liquid Nails.
thank you for the suggestion. I was wondering if the stone work needed to be cleaned. I will try cleaning the stone and use the double sided tape. I have already tried the double side tape and it didn't stick but that could be dirty stone
Anything short of a construction adhesive or drilling will likely let you down. The only problem with those two is that they’re tough to undo if need be. Can you suspend from the ceiling?
