Has anybody ever painted an old country oak dining room table?

Would like to see some PICTURES OF ANYBODY THAT HAS PAINTED oak DINING ROOM TABLE and chairs......1-30-20

I have not done that, but oak has large pores, so those may show through the paint. I would strip off the finish and use a coat of sanding sealer or other material to fill the pores. Then add paint. Use a latex enamel for durability. Yor can also add a top coat of poly for durability.
I Sandy. I have done that I'll drop a photo below. We used gel stain and Dixie Belle Cotton! :)
