How do I turn an antique sewing machine into a lamp?
You’ll need some lamp parts which are easy to find. Are you looking to run the parts through the machine itself? That might be tricky depending on the make up if the machine but not impossible.
Was hoping to run the cord through the machine.
I found some videos that may help you out. Good luck
Thanks! I can't tell from the video exactly where he's drilling that hole, and with what kind of bit. But he IS running the cord up through the machine which is what I want.

I'm working on such a project right now. I refinished the drawers and base, then combined it with the top to my parent's 1950's coffee table to become a writing desk. The lid of the sewing machine and the base of the table will be reworked to become a printer stand next to the desk. Finally, I plan to take leftover parts of the table and make a slightly oversized base for the machine, then repaint and attach a lamp I've had forever to the base. I can't bring myself to damage the machine in any way, like drilling a hole in it. I learned how to sew on that thing!
