How do I use leftover backsplash tiles?
I JUST DID MY KITCHEN BACKSPLASH AND HAVE A COUPLE OF ENTIRE SQUARES AND ALOT OF SMALLER PIECES. ANY IDEAS OF WHAT I COULD USE THEM FOR? DRINK COASTERS?? HOT PLATE PAD?? IDEAS??

Hi Rose. I'm Cindy. You could break the tiles and use the pieces to make a mosaic piece. You could make a tray, you could make a picture frame, or you could put these tiles on the top of a table (indoor or outdoor). I also like the idea of using the tiles to make a trivet.

I'd just keep them in case something unforeseen happens. It's often very difficult a couple of years down the road to find matching tile for replacement of damaged areas.

You could keep the whole tiles in case there is a need in the future, and use the scraps as crazy or formal tiling on coffee or small table or use to change the look of old terracotta pots etc. Happy Crafting............

There are so many ways to make use of your extra tiles. Many projects have been suggested but one more is to use the tiles to tile the bottom of your cabinet area beneath the kitchen sink. It would be an unexpected use but keep the area easy to clean over the years. You could also use the extra tiles as a drawer liner just in case you'd ever need a couple of spare tiles.
I have used them in potted plants outside, they block weeds, prevent evaporation and keep the critters out that love to dig up.
They would make great coasters or you could use them in a mosaic.
I would use them to update a picnic table or flower pots
