HI KB,
Not sure what you project is or how big you want to paint your trees, here a You Tube on what 1 person did:

Here's a post that might help you - https://stepbysteppainting.net/2018/06/18/painting-trees-with-a-fan-brush/
You can buy some beautiful pine tree stencils on websites like Amazon and Etsy. There are many sizes and varieties and depending on your project you may find one that works.
KB...I can't paint freehand but it you can that would be perfect, however, stencils would also work, maybe using different shades of greens. Good luck
Hello GK,
You could draw an outline picture of a pine tree, cut it out and then stencil around it, or zigzag both sides of an upright, going wider as you go down to base. Hope that helps........
Hi KB,
It depends on what kind of project you're doing. If you want a simple silhouette on something, you can print a silhouette (search online for pine tree silhouette) , cut out the image with an xacto knife, then use the part that is left to create the silhouette. Tape or use a spray glue on the paper then use spray paint to fill in the part that you cut out. Be sure to paint gently with light coats so that the paint doesn't go behind the paper. It would be like using a stencil so you could also use paint and a stencil brush to fill in the image. Wishing you the best.
If you want these really big, you can print your stencils on 24x36 bond paper at what used to be called a blueprint store for less than $3.
Kinko’s is more than Office Max/Depot.
If you want to do this, I can draw for you how to make 1 piece of 24x36 include 2 pieces of stencil- bottom of tree and top of tree. LMK.
Thank you, precious info! Will keep this in my files, my current project is not so grand! Thank you so much!
Hello,
Use a Fan Artist Brush. It is a matter of starting at the bottom and making the tree narrower as you get to the top. Each side is not always the same! Hope that helps!
