Get a smooth finish using an iron and parchment paper?
You need to use a rubber roller that you can get at a craft store to smooth out the paper before you iron it. As this will take away the bubbles. You could also use a plastic scraper the same kind you use for wallpaper.
Hi Kelly, hoping this helps you out,
Kelly: maybe this will help you
I use my wallpaper tools. Smooth the bubbles out with the plastic tool that you use for the same thing on wallpaper or window film. Even a squeegee will work in a pinch. The razor/craft knife I use to cut wallpaper is great. I have a small roller for seams, and a roller and brush that I apply glue with. In other words, I use the tools I already have.
I would imagine that would just flatten the wrinkles, a roller or squeegee work best.
Hi Kelly. Depending the size of your project, you could use something as small as a soft toothbrush. Or as big as a wallpaper roller. Try to not use your finger tips as they might rip the decoupage. Good luck Kelly.
Hi Kelly, here's a lovely video tutorial that will show you how to get wrinkle-free decoupage - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6vQBZeZEqg
I agree, find a plastic tool that will help roll out the bubbles. You might be able to find these at a paint store (wall paper smoother) or even Circuit has some smoothing tools that you could find at Michaels or Hobby Lobby.
