I keep a microfiber cloth in my car. If the wipers or anything else on the windshield gets built up dirt that the sprayer isn't removing, I use it to clean. If I'm home, I clean the windshield first and then clean the wipers with a wet microfiber cloth. I like using a squeegee on the glass. Check for streaks after it's dry.

Hi Marvin I keep a little pack of wet wipes in my car. They're great for just about everything and I've used them on my wiper blades as well.
Soapy warm water should be good enough.

Windex and a cloth
Alcohol works best. Wd40 leaves a coating that displaces water but alcohol does not.

A mechanic once told me to use rubbing alcohol on a soft cloth to wipe down the wiper blades - - It works!
