Hi Marvin I keep a little pack of wet wipes in my car. They're great for just about everything and I've used them on my wiper blades as well.

  • Soapy warm water should be good enough.

    Hi,

You could use Windscreen wash and use your wipers or a soft cloth or sponge.

    Take care.

If you mean that the wiper blades are leaving small sections where they are not cleaning you can try using a piece of fine sandpaper (220 grit). Hold the sandpaper between your thumb and forefinger and rub the sandpaper across the entire length of the wiper blades. Several times using light pressure. Rub the sandpaper across the edge of the blade that performs the actual wiping.

If this doesn’t work then it’s time for new blades. Wiper blades are sold singly so you’ll need to buy two. Make sure that you measure the length of the blade because they are sold by the length. Measure both because automobile manufacturers often design cars with different sizes; one size on the driver’s side, and another on the passenger side. They are cheap (some brands less than $10 per. Blade. They’re also super easy to install. The back of the package, or inside the package will be instructions on how to do it. I’m sure there are videos on YouTube also. You might want to go this route instead of doing the sandpaper cleaning.

Alcohol works best. Wd40 leaves a coating that displaces water but alcohol does not.

Hi Marvin, hope this helps you out!

Put a small amount of vinegar on a cloth and gently wipe the vinegar the entire length of both of the rubber wiper blades. Wipe the blades twice, gently, making certain that the vinegar has cleaned the blades as well as soaked into them

I keep a microfiber cloth in my car. If the wipers or anything else on the windshield gets built up dirt that the sprayer isn't removing, I use it to clean. If I'm home, I clean the windshield first and then clean the wipers with a wet microfiber cloth. I like using a squeegee on the glass. Check for streaks after it's dry.

A mechanic once told me to use rubbing alcohol on a soft cloth to wipe down the wiper blades - - It works!
