Can't you just fix the crack?
GE makes a clear Silicone caulk. Before applying it, you need to put something heavy in the pan, maybe some building cement footers ? Just something heavy, and then install the caulk. This will open the crack and you can install the caulk let it dry and remove what ever you use to have weight in the pan. The reason for doing this is that the silicone is flexible, so you want the weight in there while it drys so when you do take a shower it will flex with the weight in it while a shower is being taken. Hope this helps, you can get this caulk at a home improvement store any where for about $10.
If you cannot replace it now, then you definately want to seal the crack to ensure future damage to the under lying structure isn't compromised.
Natalie.... You can contact companies that will fix the crack for you. Check with your yellow pages or neighbors, friends, etc. and see if they have used any. Good luck.
What caused the crack to begin with? These pans are usually very tolerant of weight. If not a weight factor then something else might be going on with your shower. I agree with Mogie's method of fixing the crack, it is the most practical, probably not going to look like new, but it is a solution.

You could try the fibre glass resin repair kit.
You can buy a new pan at home stores like Lowes, and Home Depot.
We had a tenant put a hole in one. Luckily we were able to fill it with silicone. We were able to check underneath to make sure there was no leaking by going into the crawlspace. We ended up selling the property, but, if we had kept it, we would have eventually replaced it. The buyer was shown the repair, and they never had a problem with it, either. Of course, we had to lower the price slightly, so if you are going to sell in the future, replacing it will help with resale.
I would fill it with resin and let dry and then maybe place a gripper/non slip mat over it to conceal it.
Hello Natalie,
Do you own or rent the property? If rented the Landlord should replace it as it is not fit for purpose. If it is the result of an accident, then Insurance claim may be the way to go. If none of those ideas are suitable and you are not able to replace it, I will need to know what the shower is made from to really be able to advise. If ceramic then maybe waterproof Tile adhesive/grout. If Acrylic look for Acrylic sealer.
Good luck!
They typically just screw in. So you should be able to unscrew and replace a new one.
