Hello Ron. You may be able to call the Generac company and ask questions. Also be aware that if you have to take your Generac generator in for repair that you use a Generac authorized repair shop or it will void your warranty if you don't.
Hi Ron, are you able to contact the maker of the generator directly? Or they website? They might know exactly what is going on or others who own the same one might have experienced the same problem so may be able to help.
You can also check out the owners manual if you have one. You can Google the make and model number. Get videos, repair info, and even a manual
Here is their site. This would be a good place to start:

If it is a gasoline powered generator, I would check the carburetor. Especially if you have not used pure gas. It is the death of most carburetors.
Hi Ron. If you know the make and model numbers, you can go to You Tube and enter this info and they will be able to give you a step-by-step tutorial .
I own a generac and there is likely a code that matches your issue in the manual. You should prob start there.
Timer switch
If you didn’t put fuel stabilizer in it 6 months ago, it could be bad fuel.
I would try draining the fuel & using ISO HEET, as it’s one of two stabilizers that the University Of Nebraska tested as actually doing what it’s advertised to do.
try using high test gas

I think that you should call an expert in this domain because they might know exactly what is going on or others who own the same one might have experienced the same problem so may be able to help. However, if it is a gasoline-powered generator, I would check the carburetor. Especially if you have not used pure gas. If your generator died and you want to buy a new one, I can advise the best generators which you can select on the internet what you need at the best price. I hope that I helped you.
Maybe the first time you can check the ventilation holes of the generator, whether it is clogged or not. If there is a blockage in the ventilation hole, then you should immediately fix it by cleaning that part. Because it is possible that the clogged ventilation holes are one of the causes of the generator suddenly turning off.
if there are no problems in the ventilation holes then check the fuel filter. a dirty filter can be the cause of the sudden shutdown of the generator. Perform checks in this section to make sure the fuel filter is clogged or not. If there is a blockage, you should immediately clean it so that the generator can function properly. For the maintenance process, if this kind of thing often happens, you need to pay attention to the air circulation in the place where the generator is turned on or turned on. Air circulation is very important because it affects the process of removing hot steam released by the generator chimney.
Cleaning the generator regularly really needs to be done so that the generator can be used longer
if the above does not solve your problem, you should contact an expert for further examination
