I am able to put my hands on both sides of mine and slide it right out straight, you should be able to do that.

  • Most have wheels, check your owners manual or the manufacturer.

You're right to be careful - when we had sheet vinyl floors pulling out our fridge tore them! I like to have help - we lean the fridge back just an inch or two and tuck a towel or blanket underneath to help it slide.

Refrigerators are usually set on slides so that you can pull them out and vacuum the coils. If you are having difficulties, you can put additional slides underneath. If it is pushed too close to the back, use an item to wedge behind but be careful not to go far around the edges or you can damage the coils.

I do like Frugal does....slip a towel under the front so it doesn't damage the floors. Even with wheels, the frig seems to make marks on my floors.
