Hi I need ideas for this awkward wall space above sink and the coffee station. Unfortunately, it’s the only spot I have for the coffee pot. Please help!!

  • You could add a couple of small shelves for coffee cups and/or a cute 'Coffee Station' sign.

How about some open shelves near the coffee area - could be cute to decorate! And centred over the sink you could add a decorative mirror. :)

I was going to suggest just what Ann suggested. Nothing wrong with the coffee pot there but it will be cuter with a little coffee theme on the open shelf or mug hooks.

I would put a shelf there. It depends on your style and if you need storage but I would think it's a great place to add something a bit decorative since you will be looking at it while you are at the sink. Shelving and hooks for coffee cups or utensils under the shelf.

    Hi Kelli,

You could put hanging hooks under the cabinets with a small shelf under that - I'd look for a freestanding one instead of installing one on the wall until you are sure that you like the way that arrangement works. Put your coffee "fixin's" on the shelf and move your coffee pot over next to the light switch. Or you could turn it the other way and put a double shelf between the light switch and the corner with space for cups and "fixin's" and your coffee pot under the cabinet handles. Decorate any way that pleases you. I hope that helps you get your creative "juices" flowing. :) Wishing you the best.

Oh, here's an idea, you can get backsplash (disposable) from dollar tree-they are about 3'x 18'. They come in a variety of patterns, right now I have a jolly chef. it is a heavy sheet in a trifold, just open and hang, I used scotch tape, you could also use command strips.

Another idea is peal and stick tiles.

Scarlet's Instant Old Sign is beautiful!

Does your cabinet door always open and touch the wall? If you have room, a shelf with coffee theme placed in it or just some good ole hanging coffee themed items. Check out HobbyLobby.com and search for coffee. 👍🏻

  • Put up two shelves and add some houseplants

An open shelf made from rustic or reclaimed barn wood would look fantastic!

I would place a decorative item on the wall where your cabinet door opens back onto the wall so the door can open freely. I assume the switch to the right of the sink is a switch to your garbage dispsal. You could put at least one corner shelf beneath your cabinet for some storage space. You could place several floating shelves in the area between the two cabinets with decorative items that would meld well with the flat decorative piece where the cabinet door opens onto the wall. I've done the mirror routine, but didn't like it above the sink because of splashing and felt I was continually cleaning it. Nice items on the open shelves that you enjoy looking at as you use your sink. It could be inspiring quotes, pretty plants, etc.
