I am ready for Spring.. warmer temperatures, spring flowers, and working in the garden. So I thought it would be fun to put together a Valentines Gift basket geared toward someone that enjoys gardening and is ready for spring to arrive like I am!
So I purchased some fun items at Walmart as well as Dollar Tree and started putting it together.
I wanted to use something for the basket that I knew could be reused so I chose to use this small wooden crate that I picked up at Walmart. To dress it up a bit I had a heart sign that I had got at dollar tree that had several hearts attached to a hanger, so I just took that apart so I could use one of them for my crate. I simply attached it with a little bit of hot glue.
After I had it attached I added my tissue paper and red paper shred.
Then I started adding items into the crate.I used a fun teacup and saucer to place a succulent in and added a tiny heart to it using hot glue.I also included a small bag of potting mix, seed starter kit, flower seeds, and of course candy.
There are so many fun things that could be added to a gift like this from fresh flowers, more candy, a gift card to their favorite garden center.. It can easily be customized and as simple or as elaborate as you like.
I think overall this turned out to be such a fun gift to give. (or receive )
