How do I build Queen Elsa’s castle using wood?

We want to build a little girl’s castle for her birthday in June. She just loves Frozen Elsa. Could someone provide a pattern for such a castle? There are models of castles in cardboard, but we want to build with wood.

I can't find one just like Elsa's castle, but here are some to get you started: https://morningchores.com/playhouse-plans/

I helped a friend build a castle for his daughter. She found a picture of what she wanted so we made a basic form then added the trim and painted it to look like what she wanted. She helped with it so she was able to make decisions.

if you want this to be a surprise you can have her pick pictures she likes and copy that.

We put a fold-down table in it for her to play on. We made it long enough that she could put a futon inside to take a nap.

Elsa’s castle is frozen so you could paint it in varying colors of blue and white paint and finish it with a high-gloss water based polyuréthane to look like ice.

I would start with cardboard, poster board, or foam board to make a pattern. Once you get the shape you desire, you can cut out the wood and put it together. Paint white with blue accents. You can even get "frozen" stickers to put on it.

Are you planning on making it 4 sided with a door or 3 sides and walk into the back? If 3 sides, I would add shelves around all sides. It will serve as a stabilizer as well as a place to put toys. You can add hinges to the 2 corners and make the shelves fold down. This would be in case you need to store it. That would make it fold fairly flat and it could fit under a bed or in a closet.

I hope you document it and post it as a project. I would love to see what you come up with.

Hi Terry, this is Peggy. You could use the instructions for cardboard and cut out plywood. I hope this helps you and she is a very lucky girl. www.pinterest.com › pin
