Friendship Frames- Seaglass Succulents

I'll be using a frame purchased from the Dollar Store, they come in assorted colors.

Another go to product I always use for these craft projects are rub on transfers, they are the perfect size to add in accents and a way to personalize these frames.

I like to lay out all of my supplies that I'll possibly use and I tend to make a batch of similar items all at the one time to have on hand for later gifts. It's just easier for me to set up and create in this way, once the supplies are all laid out in front of me I tend to get even more inspired too.

If you don't have access to these specific supplies maybe you could substitute with other items like tree twigs, buttons, scrapbooking supplies and so on. Choose a piece of paper or cardboard to fit within the frame allotment to assemble your pieces onto.

Tiny pieces of driftwood sandwiched between two skewer sticks were used for the ladder shelving unit. I used sandpaper to smooth out any rough cuts that I had to make on the wood pieces with a utility knife and cutter pliers.

Always, always create your layout first, get your spacing figured out for the pieces you will be adding within the frame before you glue! I used Aleenes Tacky glue to everything onto the backing, it's great because it dries clear!

Triangle shaped green shards of seaglass became a large plant within a pottery shard flowerpot. The ladder has a sticker flower at the top and a tiny clamshell, the second shelf has sea coral and a ceramic shard vase and the base holds another houseplant. I kept lavender and green tones in mind for this frame which led me to the rub on transfer that you see.

So with just a few trinkets and tiny objects I create custom pieces of artwork as a gifts for friends.

This one has a lighter background of scrapbooking paper but still uses rub on transfers, driftwood, clothing sequins, sea glass and pottery. I live near the beach and I've collected glass for years but it's only been these last few years that I have created art with it. Lesson learned....never say never and always be open to try something new to you! Thanks so much for viewing!
