Need to have a planning app for placing furniture and plants. I have many quite large plants and décor for this project.
Are you referring to an actual greenhouse or a sun room? 12 x 12 isn't really big enough for furniture in a working greenhouse.
Here are lots of greenhouse decor ideas:
Hello! This Hometalk link attached below might be helpful. Also checking Pinterest and Houzz might be options. Hope this Helps!
Your best bet is to make a plan of the area and measure your plants etc. Cut out to rough size and place them on the plan. It will save an awful lot of backache. I do this with everything. It is fun to do and helps save time too........
Would something like this help?
Also, assess your plants sun needs, for location in the greenhouse. Seating arrangements should be for comfort, too. Once you have everything in place, you may need to move things around or make better use of the space.
You will need furniture that can take the humidity and full sun if you are growing plants as well in the greenhouse. I would place my plants in the correct light for them and then buy outdoor furniture to use in this space.
I think that you would benefit by making 3 or 4 shelves to start seeds and to establish plants. You will also need a work table. If you don't have a shed, you may also need space to store bags of dirt, sand, manure, etc. And your tools. Good luck with this project. I would love to have a greenhouse.
HI Lynn - I love the idea of an Americana greenhouse! We made a flag decoration with our leftover pallet. Hope this helps with some inspiration. Hugs, Holly
Hi Lynn: What I did with a bedroom was to make a grid of the room, with 1" equaling 1 foot. Then I measured the furniture I was buying and made little cardboard squares the same size as they would be using the 1" = 1' formula and placed them around the room until I liked the way it looked and the furniture fit. Perhaps you can do the same thing. Good luck
Here are some free planning apps for greenhouses and floriculture:
Yes, it’s a greenhouse & the plants need to be placed based on their needs.
Furniture should take a backseat, pun intended.
