If you are looking for a little extra something to accent your farmhouse decor, this easy to make candle holder is the perfect solution!

For this project I cut a 14 inch piece off a scrap of 2x8 wood. I purchased two 1/2 inch pipe flanges, two 1/2 in x 2 in pipes, and one 1/2 in pipe elbow, and attached them together in the above fashion. I used some stain I already had laying around. This particular color is Special Walnut from Minwax.

I sanded all the rough edges off the wood piece. Then I wiped on one coat of stain with a scrap of cloth and let dry completely.

I drilled the pipe piece into the piece of wood giving plenty of space for a candle to sit with the wood as a background.

On the back top of the piece of wood I used a 1/4 inch drill bit to put a hole where the candle holder could hang. I drilled at an upward angle so the candle holder could hang securely.

NOTE: This piece is heavy so I hung it into a stud.

This is the finished product and I LOVE it! It was so easy and pretty inexpensive too! I added a little plant instead of a candle to soften the feel of the wall. I think it goes great with my other decor! What do you think?

Great, easy project. How exactly do you hang it on your wall? I don’t see a hook or anything.
