Hello. Can you post a picture of your wicker chest? Amazon has a pretty large selection of pulls but I’m not sure what the ones you’re trying to replace look like. There are also some restoration component companies for steamer trunks it have replacement leather pulls but I am not sure if that would be an option.
Measure the current pulls. You will need to know the distance from the middle of one screw to the middle of the second screw on the handles. This will help you to search for the right size.
You will probably need to reenforce the section behind the pulls. Wicker has a tendency to weaken. Perhaps a piece of luan added to the inside of the drawer.
Hi Peggy: You can use almost any similar replacement knob, but I would suggest that you put a small metal washer on the outside (so it won't show) and a larger metal washer on the inside and then put a nut on the screw. This way, the wicker won't get squashed when you attach the nut to the post. Good luck
Hi Peggy. I'm Cindy. You could use a leather belt (ladies or mens) to make the handles on your chest. Remove the hardware first and then cut the belt in pieces as long enough to create handles.
Many home improvement stores have sections with extra drawer pulls. You could try to find replacements there. Try putting cardboard behind the pull to help keep it in place if the wicker is fraying at all.

You can also use large washers on the inside.

Peggy: you might be able to use rope! ...and tie knots inside of the drawer fronts
Great idea! Thank you!
Old Boat rope should work.
