Bought this table at a yard sale. I little dirty but over all really good shape. Curious to age of the table and value. Also could I refinish or worth to have it professionally done
Value is in the eye of the beholder. That's a nice little Lane table. Probably from the late 1960s or early 1970s. Mediterranean was the rage when that was new. Although Lane brought it back in the 1990s, that doesn't look like "Hearst Castle Furniture." I think I would do it myself, but you may not want to if you don't know how.
Good luck, Jon! I like it, but I'm into odd furniture. And yes, I think the bottom belongs with that top. If you don't, check for extra/odd screw holes where something else may have been attached.
I would fix it up yourself, I really dont think if would be hard at all. As for value, antiques if it is one are not in popular demand like they used to be. So it is only as valuable as how much someone is willing to pay for it. That is why so many people paint them now.
Ah, just answered your question without the photo. It looks like something from the 80's or maybe 70's though likely more 80's; it's definitely a more modern piece. You can sand the wood then re-stain it; I wouldn't go to the expense of a professional as it's not an antique.
This looks like a marriage piece( converted using different parts) . Part of an old Chest of drawers or Old table cabinet and modern Metal frame added later. Looks well enough, but could look better. Rub it down and give it a new life, by either painting it all one colour, re- staining and polishing the wood, or using a combination of both ideas, It just a matter of taste! Where it is to be placed and the style of the home really. Could have many uses. I like it!

Hey John, I saw your earlier questions and now I see the photo. An antique shop may be able to give you an idea of the age and value.
I would be curious to know if the metal base actually came with that table in the beginning. The two styles seem very different to me
That’s what I’m trying to figure as well. Seems odd. I appreciate the help.

Will you let me know what Lane Furniture has to say if they get back to you? I would be interested to hear!
Great, thanks!
Beautiful table! worth of checking its value at the local antique store
It's not that old, may be 20 years
It's pretty, I would refinish my self. To have it done prof. would cost more than it is worth.
You could bring it to a local antique shop to see if they know more details. You could refinish it yourself
not too hard. Sand it down and clean it and add a fresh coat of paint.

Not too bad. I would start by cleaning with denatured alcohol and see how it looks. You might get away with a restoration product like old English.
Thanks

Thank you Becky. Mist helpful.
Not hard at all if you sand the top and repaint it. Use a chalky paint and then change the knobs and line the drawer
