Folded Book Page Garland

So, I've had so many compliments and inquiries on my book page garland that I thought I'd show you how I made it.

It's really simple, the kind of craft you can get done in less than 30 minutes. You will need the following items to recreate my garland.

1 old book that you don't mind tearing pages out of

Scissors or paper cutter

Hole Punch

Jute twine

NOTE: You can find that beautiful wreath in my Amazon shop right here.

Step 1. Tear out as many pages as you think you will need for your garland. Mine used 16 pages.

Step 2. Using your scissors or paper cutter, cut off all the blank spaces. This is an optional step, but I prefer it.

Step 3. Fold the page from one end to the other using about 1 inch folds. You will fold back and forth like you did when you were a kid and made a paper fan.

This is what it should look like when you reach the end.

Step 4. Flatten your "fan" and then fold it in half like you see above.

Step 5. Using your hole punch, punch a hole just below the fold you just created in the above step.

Step 6. Measure out a length of twine to fit your space and thread on each fan you've created. The fuller fans on th ends were made by putting to single fans together.

Adjust your fans to the look you want and Enjoy! :)

I told you it was easy! I think I'm going to be making some other types of paper garlands soon, so stay tuned for that! Please let me know if you make a garland like this because I would love to see yours too!

I love this, & fits your decor perfectly! I'm inspired to make my mirror frame a little less glossy & chippy like your frame! Then I want to add this to the mirror! Thx!
