I want to build a nautical cabin bunk bed, twin for my bedroom/den/office, tiwn size.
Sounds great! Did you search Hometalk using the search bar at the top left? There might be some good ideas that way but there are also all sorts of woodworking plans available if you do a Google search.
Hi! This one would be great anywhere!
Here is one for inspiration https://www.theclassyhome.com/Product/FOA-CM-BK629-BED/Furniture+of+America+Nautia+Blue+White+Twin+over+Full+Bunk+Bed?g=t&gclid=CjwKCAiAnfjyBRBxEiwA-EECLJEK3S6WVBS_s3IGf4HofeJBRtL0tLcI6q5-4-syourMYlPVFsFh_BoCol0QAvD_BwE

Here are some other ideas
That sounds like a great project. I am envisioning a captain's wheel cut in half for each of the bed headboards.
Hi Kevin, hope these give you some great ideas,
I particularly like the wall behind these simple beds:

You can paint the walls a light blue and hang sheer white curtains. Perhaps a couple boat oars on the wall with hooks going down the length to hang hats, jackets, etc. For bed spreads / comforters go with either white or white and blue. And, last but not least, hang some fish net in the corner and put star fish, sea horse, or even sea shells in the net.

Thank you the 'built ins", book case, bunks, etc. spark some ideas here.
It appears I am thinking of a Captains Bed, not a bunk
Push a bed frame against a wall and build a frame around it, so you have storage wardrobe on one or both sides, a Storage cupboard above and drawers under the bed. Decorate to taste. I always find making a drawing first is a good way to start. It helps me gauge the timber quantities etc. Enjoy the journey................
