Hi Dianne, gallery walls of photos are really popular right now. I would head to your local thrift store and look for mirrors too to break up the wall. Old shutters and doors as well as old windows can make interesting wall art without much cost too.
A large piece of art is a classic. A Large mirror could be nice. Or a gallery wall.
In addition, a large clock always looks nice.

Hi Dianne: You can get a bunch of picture frames from the thrift stores or the dollar stores and hang a collection of plants, family, pets, etc., behind the sofa. Or, even a collection of mirrors of different sizes and shapes would be cute. Good luck

I have a farmhouse so I went with the large wooden cathedral style frames that look similar to a window. I added a cotton wreath on each one, I did a set of three.
You can also do a gallery, large clock, large wreath, shelves with decor, or go understated with lighting.

Amazon has giant wall murals in some very beautiful styles for under $100.00. You name the style, they have it. They are removable. Animal, sunsets, airplanes, jungle, designs, you think it they probably have it.

With a long handled roller Ha! Ha! Gather up yourself a list of things you like or looks that appeal. See what you have to hand that could be utilized or buy a few Magazines to inspire you. Could be Art, or Quilts or Photo's or shelving with Object art or even books. Use colours from the room to inspire you or use the wall decor to inspire you to add colour into other places of the room................ Enjoy the journey!
