Can vinyl shutters be painted?
I would love to be able to paint my vinyl shutters because they would be expensive to replace so many. Is there3 a paint that will adhere to outdoor vinyl?

Yes. Go to your local stand alone paint store, they will have the product. Or if you can take them down, which I would recommend, then you can buy Rustoleum spray paint made for plastic. Be sure to wash down first with TSP. Hope you find a fun color
Yes, you can. Do just what Kelli told you to do.
Yes Sandy! You can paint your vinyl shutters!
You have to make sure you prep them ahead of time for paint so here's some information! If you want to take them all down then you could use a spray paint. Rustoleum is a good brand that you can use on vinyl/plastic. You can also paint them in place but I think it would be better to take them down.

Hi! Use a paint intended for exterior vinyl and plastic. If you can take them down, you won't have to protect your siding from over spray or drips. Plus you could get them squeaky clean, first.
Yes, I used Krylon spray paint on mine. First, scuff with steel wool so the paint will adhere. Next, wipe down with denatured alcohol. Then you are ready to paint. I did mine off the house, so much easier.
Sandy....I agree that you can paint but use an exterior paint. Good luck

Yes, you can paint them. I have painted mine with any spray paint that says it is suitable for plastics.
I would think so because I spray painted my vinyl outdoor furniture and the paint attached nicely.
Hello yes they make a plastic friendly paints.
I might suggest calling the manufacturer for the best recommendation.
I had painted some Adirondack chairs that were vinyl and they only lasted a couple years with the plastic friendly primer+ spray paint formulations.
I believe jar formulations might be a better choice. But I would call the various paint manufacturer and get the details for best possible options or find a recommendation here before investing the time and money and having a result you’re not happy with.
Rustoleum 2X spray paint or Krylon Fusion spray paint.
Yes just use a paint made for exteriors
